The PhD in Law is a full-time research degree that takes three to four years to complete. PhD scholars can receive one-to-one supervision once a month during the initial stages of their research. However, meetings may be less frequent thereafter. A PhD dissertation must include the discovery of new knowledge, the connection of previously unrelated facts, the development of new theory or the revision of older views. A PhD research proposal should have the length between 2,000 and 3,000 words

One-to-one supervision will be provided to you. First-year PhD scholars are required to attend the compulsory weekly classes (during term-time only) provided by the Faculty's Research Training and Development Programme, which aims to introduce advanced research techniques and methods in law and cognate disciplines.

    You should have an Honours degree in law, or a related discipline relevant to the subject of the proposed research, from a British university, or its equivalent from a university overseas, IELTS - 7.5 band with 7 in each component (Overseas students)
