The Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering has 30 academic staff. 30 full-time research assistants, and over 60 postgraduate research candidates contributing to various research projects. The research work is recognised nationally and internationally.
Description
The aim of the course is to research, design, build, and test advanced energy conversion systems to optimise the efficiency of power. The group, emphasising on the efficient management of electrical energy, focuses its research in two main areas: modelling, design and optimisation of generators, motors and actuators for renewable energy conservation, and modelling of power electronic devices and circuits.
